Frequently Asked Questions

What type of clients do you accept?

I work best with busy photographers who are confident in their style and who are willing to invest in a service that will bring rest to their personal life while taking their business to the next level.  I am currently accepting photographers who predominantly shoot weddings and are wanting to outsource the majority of their wedding galleries. I have limited slots available this year so contact me today to reserve your spot!

What are your rates?

A $40 minimum is applied to portrait catalogs and a $150 minimum is applied to wedding catalogs. If you have more than one catalog to submit at a time, and the combined amount of images the catalogs meet the minimum criteria, then I will not apply the minimum charges to the catalogs. If you need further clarification, please let me know!

Do you edit in Lightroom, Photoshop, or both?

I edit in Lightroom exclusively.  I am accepting clients who edit in the most recent version of Lightroom Classic CC.

What are the turn around times for image galleries?

Delivery times are tailored to suit each client's unique wedding workflow. Through my years as a private editor, I have learned that it's not always about how fast a catalog can be delivered. What is important is that my clients receive their catalogs when they need to receive their catalogs according to their unique wedding workflow. My goal is to deliver your images when you need so you can exceed your clients expectations! If you need your images before the allotted time frame, I offer a reasonable rush rate.

Do you offer discounts?

When a photographer hires me, I take time to study their website and social media accounts.  I spend extra time during the first few catalogs to make sure I understand their creative vision and style. New clients take a lot of time.  Therefore, I do not offer discounted rates.

What if I don’t like some of the edits you made?

I guarantee my work and I will strive for your happiness!  It’s going to take some time for me to get used to the ins and outs of your style and creative vision. Depending on the complexity of your style, it may take anywhere from 1-4 catalogs for me to really grasp your vision. I can promise you that I will work hard to learn your editing style so that my creative vision becomes yours.  In order for me to do this successfully, you will need to communicate with me about what you want me to improve.  I ENCOURAGE your constructive criticism!

Do you batch edit or do you look at every image?

I will make sure that I look at every.single.image in the gallery you submit to me.  I will not apply a preset on a bunch of images and then not look at them!!!  I will take time to make sure all the images align to your style and creative vision.

How do we get started?

If you are interested in my private editing services, please fill out the contact form. I will respond to you promptly and send you a welcome guide and questionnaire to learn more about you. Then we will schedule a time to have phone conversation, discussing your vision and workflow. Once we have talked, you will submit your first catalog to me and we will start the process leading towards reduced stress, consistency and increased profitability!  â€‹

How are we going to share the images?

I will establish a shared folder on Dropbox for us to pass our files.  Image files will be shared using Lightroom Catalogs and Smart Previews. We will discuss the details of the outsourcing workflow in our first conversation, but if you want to know more about Smart Previews, click here.

Will you post my images on your Social Media?

I will not post any of your images on Social Media without your consent first.  Some of my clients are vocal about having an editor and some clients do not want others to know.  I respect both sides. I will not share images on my social media without permission first. Any image of yours that you give me permission to post will be credited to you.

Will I have to sign a contract?

At this time, no.  You can use my services for 1 job or 1000 jobs; that is up to you. That said, my goal is to develop a relationship with you so I can learn your style to better serve you.  I hope that you will decide to keep me as your editor so you can enjoy the hours that you are no longer spending on editing!

How will I pay you?

I will invoice you MONTHLY via Paypal.  You will receive the invoice on the 25th of the month and you will have until the end of the month to make your payment.  Any late payment will incur a fee. All jobs that occur the 25th through the end of the month will be added to the next month's invoice.
